JR./SR. HIGH SCHOOL OVERVIEW
A COMMUNITY OF LEARNERS THAT ARE UNITED IN THEIR FAITH AND BELIEF IN JESUS CHRIST.
Welcome to the Jr./Sr. High School of Calvary Christian Academy!
Throughout the halls of CCA’s Jr./Sr. High School, you will find a community of learners that are united in their faith and belief in Jesus Christ.
CCA is committed to educating the mind in God’s truth. In the Gospels, we are given many accounts of how Jesus, the Master Teacher taught, and the impact of His teaching on people’s lives. Jesus exemplified the personal nature of teaching. Each person was different, each situation was different, and each application was different, yet the message was the same. By making His message explicitly personal, Jesus taught the ‘student,’ not the lesson. CCA’s teachers seek to model the teaching and discipleship expressed by Jesus Christ in Scripture. Students at CCA know that their teachers care about them. This sense of safety, belonging and unity in Christ, fosters our students’ internal desire to do well and complete their work with excellence as unto the glory of the Lord.
A Biblical worldview is at the foundation of a CCA education. It is the framework that supports our curriculum, pedagogy and classroom discussions. Bible is taught by the pastoral staff of Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. This course focuses on the most important part of campus life at CCA. Three periods a week are spent studying the Bible and teaching the students how to apply it to their lives. Chapels are an integral part of the Bible curriculum. During chapel, students are led by our pastors in song and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your interest in Calvary Christian Academy. We invite you to come visit us and see our school in action. Call today and join in on a tour through CCA with our junior/senior high school principal.
