World History/Geography II
The purpose of this course is to provide students with a rich foundation of the historical events and ideas that helped to shape the modern world. This will include an overview of world history, cultures, and geography, beginning with the European Renaissance and continuing to the present day. The course will involve a study of the Renaissance and Reformation, European exploration and expansion, Asian empires, the Enlightenment, the age of revolutions, the rise of nationalism, the world wars, the Cold War, and conclude with the current world situation.
