Adventures in Math

The laid back style of this class makes it both educational and fun. We will look at some interesting topics in math that only briefly get mentioned in traditional classes. Some topics include Fibonacci numbers, Mobius Strips, and Pascal’s Triangle. In addition, students will look at the mathematicians who developed the concepts we study today, as well as the history of math itself. We will also watch some movies, look at the math that appears in some popular books, and enjoy logic and sudoku puzzles. Much of the work will be of an in-class, hands on project nature.
