CCA will once again make February, our “Caring Month”. During this month we will be collecting spare change to donate towards the fight for a cure of Leukemia/Lymphoma, Cystic Fibrosis and Juvenile Diabetes. Rather than have three separate times to donate, we thought a month long project would be the most convenient for you. All proceeds will be divided equally among these three charities. If you have a special desire to donate to just one of these charities, please do that in the form of a check made out to the specific charity, so it will not be confused with the general fund (note designation below).
Through CCA’s history we have been blessed to be able to help and care for a few students that have been fighting these illnesses. We are grateful to have an opportunity for the children to demonstrate God’s love to others by supporting classmates and families dealing with these issues.
During this program, we will be asking you and your child to send in pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters, or more, to assist your child’s class in helping with the search for a cure and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. It also provides an opportunity for you to encourage your children to earn money to donate, allowing them to feel good by what they accomplish. The class that collects the most money overall toward the three charities will be rewarded with a lunch brought in to CCA from Olive Garden! Olive Garden supports the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society with their “Olive Garden’s Pasta for Pennies” program. Our money collected for LLS will be donated through the Pasta for Pennies program.
Thank you in advance for your support of our “Caring Month” program. Please encourage your child to be in prayer for children with these diseases as well as the research needed to help find a cure.
*If you desire to designate your money for a specific charity, checks can be made out to:
