Welcome to the Elementary School of Calvary Christian Academy!

Matthew 19:14 states: “Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” CCA’s elementary school seeks to model this invitation. We want our students to know Jesus, to love Him and to have the joy and peace found in a relationship with Him. CCA’s elementary teachers and staff show the love of Jesus to our students by providing a safe and nurturing environment. Students are loved, cared for, protected, taught and called by name. Who our students are, how they learn, and what they think is of the utmost importance to us at CCA – just as it is to Jesus Christ.

Through Scripture-based character development, daily prayer, and core Bible instruction, CCA desires to develop disciples for Christ. We incorporate monthly chapels into our students’ schedules in a desire to have God’s story come alive in developmentally appropriate and engaging ways. The assembly of young voices praising and worshiping God in song, is truly a glorious noise.

At CCA we believe that all truth is God’s truth. This core belief is the bedrock upon which our curriculum stands. Our primary curriculum and instruction focuses upon the essential building blocks needed to develop critical thinking and problem-solving strategies that are expanded upon in our upper elementary school curriculum. Student engagement is a vital piece of the teaching/learning process and is achieved through the implementation of diverse instructional strategies. Collaboration is a critical component of a CCA curriculum as learning is social and collaboration leads to deeper learning.

Another key element crucial to CCA’s quest for academic, social and spiritual excellence is that of the parent. A partnership between school and parent is essential to student success. Frequent communication, positive reinforcement and a healthy partnership between parent and teacher are essential for our students’ welfare and growth. CCA is an extension of our students’ homes and seeks to develop and support the same values, morals, and standards that our parents emphasize in their own homes. CCA’s elementary school is a family of learners united by the love of Christ and a love of learning.
