Junior High Jazz Band

In this class, the student rehearses and performs popular jazz repertoire. Emphasis is on sight-reading, listening skills, improvising, ensemble playing and music theory. The student will perform at school concerts and outside festivals (Dorney Park and ACSI).

Prerequisite: An advanced ability to play a band instrument (woodwind, brass, or rhythm section – piano, bass, drums, guitar), read music and audition with teacher approval.
