3-D Art / Sculpture
Students will learn and work with a variety of materials to create three-dimensional art by carving, casting, modeling, and assembling. They will use traditional materials (like wire, plaster, fibers, and clay) as well as non-traditional materials (like plastic, cardboard, and found objects). They will learn from important 3-D artists from history, and discuss the difference between “art” and “craft”, making functional three-dimensional objects as well as art objects.
