To date, we have had no cases of the Coronavirus affect a member of our CCA community.
However, we find it prudent to consider and prepare for the possibility.
CCA Administration is in communication with teachers and our IT personnel to discuss ways that instruction/assignments could be disseminated online.
As we consider our due diligence and work toward developing a plan for if we had to close school for an extended period of time, we ask that you do the same.
Again, we cannot reiterate enough, we are at this point, NOT closing school. We are NOT shutting down activities or gatherings.
We are only asking that you plan ahead and consider options for child care if it were to come to the point of closing CCA for an extended period of time.
The church and the school are working together to keep our building disinfected. Our best defense is a good offense, which means diligence with hand washing, avoidance of touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Also covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throwing the tissue in the trash – and staying home when sick. Please err on the side of caution and keep a student home when showing symptoms of cold, flu or respiratory illness. Please contact our school nurse if you have any questions.
Our nurse is in communication with Philadelphia Department of Public Health. We follow their lead and will make school decisions based upon their recommendations and directives.
We are trusting the Lord during this time of uncertainly.
We are listening to the recommendations of the doctors and administrators of our public health system.
We are preparing in wisdom and ask you to do the same.
Remind your children to wash their hands and to not share water bottles, etc.
Prepare for the possibility of a school closing. Make arrangements for childcare.
As of today, there are NO plans to close school or extracurricular activities.
We will continue to update you as necessary.
